Last week I discussed How to Make Money with Twitter Advertising. I went in to detail about how one should choose which advertising elements they should use according to their own personal style and character. I then went into some detail on some companies that provide services on how to make money with Twitter. This week, I want to go into a little bit more detail about www.TwittAd.com and the ad services they provide for your Twitter Profile.
What is TwittAd.com? Twittad is a Social Media Affinity Network that connects Advertisers and Twitter users. By using Twittad, Twitter users can monetize their profiles & Advertisers can reach ALL of Twitter; the Website, 3rd Party Applications and Mobile Devices!
The way TwittAd.com works is simply by allowing Twitter users to register their Twitter profiles to TwittAd.com and allowing advertisers to place ads on their Twitter profile. Once, an ad has been placed on the Twitter profile for a predetermined length of time, the Twitter user gets paid! It's that simple.
The fun doesn't stop there. TwittAd.com allows Twitter users two different methods on how to make money with Twitter ads: 1) A sort of auction-like method that allows Twitter users to list the Twitter profile for sale. The Twitter user can set the amount based on an amount per follower. Usually, the lower the better. The Twitter user approves the ad and the fun can begin. And 2) Advertisers can announce that they need a certain amount of Twitter users' profiles to place their ads and set an amount to be paid. The Twitter user can apply and the advertiser can choose which profiles best fit their needs. Once they approve the user's profile, again, the fun begins!
I have opted to do both methods! Why not? Place your profile for auction and in the meantime, check out what some of the advertisers are offering to place ads on your Twitter profile.
Once you have registered your Twitter profile and sign up for a method (or both) the magic can begin. TwittAd.com (in a way) logs into your Twitter profile and places the ad as a background picture on your Twitter account. TwittAd 's technology will continually check to make sure that a Twitter user is serving the ad. Every hour the ad is served, the Twitter user will receive money in their TwittAd account. Once the TwittAd users account reaches $30 they can request payment. If Twitter user removes the image before the advertiser's time has expired, they alert the advertiser and they have the option to give negative feedback to the Twitter user. So don't do that! :)
I hope this was an informative post about one company's version of placing ads on your Twitter profile. There are many more to cover! Stay tuned!
