I recently came across another way to make money with twitter: Ad.ly.

What is Ad.ly?
Ad.ly is an in-stream advertising platform that matches top-tier Twitter publishers with top-tier brands.

Ad.ly for Publishers
Ad.ly enables Twitter publishers to make money from the content they produce on Twitter by sending one Tweet every day from advertisers that they approve. In order to ensure authenticity, every Ad.ly Tweet is explicitly approved by the Twitter publisher. The publishers are able to set the price they want advertisers to pay and can optionally donate part or all of their earnings to charity.

The system works almost the same way as the other sponsored systems with two major differences. One, you can set your price. Based on the number of followers you have, ad.ly estimates what your tweets are worth. If you aren't getting a response from advertisers, you can adjust it. And two, this platform seems to attract the high-end advertisers. I joined the system and about a week later I was contacted by ad.ly stating that Sony wanted me to post ONE tweet about one of their upcoming movies. For my efforts I was paid $171.50. Just for one tweet!!!

RevTwt Reaches out to Facebook and Adds Greeting Cards

RevTwt has done it again! More new features! RevTwt started as a quick and easy way for publishers to make money with Twitter. Advertisers would create link ads to post, Twitterers would select which ads suit them best and tweet them. Easy money!

Now, RevTwt has created an almost identical platform for Facebook. Advertisers create ads, Facebookers select which ads suit them best and post it to their wall. Again, easy money!

RevTwt has also partnered with Twitter Greetings. Twitter greetings allows you to send greeting cards to your tweeps. The partnership allows RevTwt to place ads on the bottom of the card. If click, then cha-ching cha-ching!

It seems to me that RevTwt is becoming more and more the "how to make money with twitter" platform of choice. Everyday they seem to be updating or adding new services. Must mean that they have high traffic and advertiser volume to keep up the pace. Get your share of the pie at RevTwt.com.

How to Make Money with Twitter: Twivert

About a week ago, Twivert stepped up to the "how to make money with twitter" league.

Although, they are still in beta and have quite a few kinks to work out. It might be worth your time to check them out. Following in the footsteps of Magpie, Twivert (or Twitter Advertising) post ads/links to your Twitter account.

Hummingbird Gets an Upgrade: Hummingbird 2

You might remember a few months back, I wrote about a product called Hummingbird. This product was so unique that it enabled you to gain an unlimited amount of Twitter followers and at the same time, provided you with an affiliate ID so that you could potentially sell the Hummingbird product to one of your followers. It was a win / win situation.

Today, Mesiah Labs (the creators of Hummingbird) has released a FREE beta of their Hummingbird 2 product due to be released sometime this week. RevTwt Launches URL Shortener - Make Money!

Today, RevTwt.com launched a new URL shortening service. Much like LinkBee.com, RevTwt.com will shorten a long url into their own URL. What's more, you can make money!

For example:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=how+to+make+money+with+twitter&aq=f&oq=&aqi=g:p1

Becomes:
http://tinyurl.com/mfakql

You'll notice, however, that when you click the new, shortened URL the landing page is slightly different from the original. RevTwt.com places a small ad on the top of the page. If anyone clicks the ad, you receive a chunk in your RevTwt.com account.

Here's the best part: You can use RevTwt to shorten ANY URL out there! Did you find a funny video that you know all your friends will continue to pass along? Shorten it with RevTwt.com and make some money on the side!

TwtAd.com Becomes RevTwt.com

Recently, and for reasons I can't seem to grasp, TwtAd.com changed their name and their website to RevTwt.com.

This, in my opinion has accomplished two things: 1) Made more work for me. Because they have changed their URL to RevTwt.com, I have to go and change all of my posts that mention TwtAd.com to the new URL. Furthermore, they also changed my referral link to reflect their new URL. Basically it's like starting over. Okay, enough about me... 2) It's seems that with the new URL, RevTwt.com is adding or changing more and more services every day! This is good news! Let me share...

A) RevTwt.com is crackin' down on the TOS! For the true publisher (like me :]) this is very good news. This means, that spammers/cheaters out there will get banned/blocked from using the site. This in turn means more advertisers will likely use RevTwt.com's system because of the integrity and honest publishing that is going on. Which, in turn, means more money for me! (Or you ;]).

B) RevTwt.com is now offering TWO more methods of getting paid. Besides the normal post-click-get paid method, now publishers can get paid for each ad they post based on the number of followers they have. What's more, the followers don't need to click on anything! You just get paid for posting! Granted their are limitations on most of the ads like, "up to a certain amount of followers" or the ad must be published in your Twitter feed for 3 days, etc. The last method actually doesn't even have to be used in conjunction with Twitter! More or less, they are ads that can be placed anywhere, (Twitter, Blogs, Emails, Signatures, etc.) and you get paid based on the traffic driven or the actions the users take after they click on the ads.

C) Lastly, RevTwt.com seems to be getting serious about how they are delivering click stats to their publishers. I have yet to see a day where something is different about how the stats look. But change, in my opinion is good. It can only mean that it's a work in progress and future results will be sublime.
